When we look at the diabetes statistics, it can be quite easy to fall into a negative state of mind:

  • Over 30,000,000 Americans have some form of diabetes;
  • Each year, 1,500,000 new cases are diagnosed;
  • Diabetes is the 7th leading cause of death in the United States.

So, we know there is a problem. But focusing on the problem… focusing on the statistics can only drive humans into a state of depression.

We MUST focus on solutions.

And I have written several articles about taking care of your diabetes. I do believe that much of it comes down to diets. Eliminating many sugars, processed foods and starches which turn into sugars after ingestion.

But no matter what, there will be diabetes and we must learn to live with this disease.

Living A Meaningful Life With Diabetes Tip #1: Have A Glucose Meter With You At All Times

Most Doctors will tell you the same thing I am telling you… Always have a glucose meter with you and regularly check your levels. By doing so, you will get a good idea when your blood sugar “spikes” and why it is doing so. (Maybe that bite of chocolate cake was not a good idea.)

Living A Meaningful Life With Diabetes Tip #2: Drink Water

It is a well known fact that diabetes can give people the impression they are hungry when they actually are slightly dehydrated.

If you feel an urge to eat, try this… Drink a full bottle of water and wait approximately 15 – 20 minutes. If you are still hungry, snack on a nutritious item such as nuts, apple slices or an organic trail mix that has no sugars added.

Living A Meaningful Life With Diabetes Tip #3: Find A Physical Activity To Take Part In

Just because you have diabetes does not mean you can’t participate in physical sports or activities. Find one or more physical activities you enjoy:

  • Run in a marathon
  • Play in a softball, basketball or another sport’s league
  • Bowling
  • Golf
  • Etc…

Diabetes does not mean you have to sit on the sidelines. Get out and get physically active. Don’t let diabetes stop you.

Living A Meaningful Life With Diabetes Tip #4: Healthy Eating

Maybe this is a good time to say no to those fast food drive-through obesity machines. Focus on a healthy diet…

  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Nuts and seeds

And do know that cutting as many as the carbohydrates from your diet as possible is the best thing you can do. Carbs turn into sugar, so by cutting the carbs out, you are controlling the diabetes instead of letting it control you.

Living A Meaningful Life With Diabetes Tip #4: Get Proper Sleep

Your sleep patterns can play a huge role in your blood sugar levels. It is recommended that people get 7 to 8 hours of sleep every 24 hours. And, you should try to stay consistent. Get up at the same time and go to bed at the same time. Lastly, you should ensure your sleeping zone is optimal:

  • Comfortable mattress and pillow
  • Low light and noise

All of these will help you keep a level blood sugar level.

Living A Meaningful Life With Diabetes Tip #5: For Those Low Moments

If things get fuzzy, maybe your insulin lowered your blood sugar too far. You should keep glucose tablets with you. Some other tricks are:

  • Lifesavers – Yes, they could save your life.
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 Oreo cookie

I really don’t like telling people to take things like these but in the case of low blood sugar, they will help.

Conclusion

Many people are living productive lives and they are diabetic.

Do you seem to be consistently tired?

My first piece of advice is to see your Doctor. You should have blood work run to ensure it is not something severe. If, after doing so and he/she says nothing is wrong, my next suggestion is to go all-natural. While the temptation may hit you to buy energy drinks… Don’t!

The ingredients in many of them will do you no good. Most may give you an immediate burst of energy, but the crash afterwards can be harsh.

#1 Natural Ways To Battle Fatigue: Go For A Walk Or Jog

This absolutely has to be the top tip. Often, fatigue hits us because we are sitting at a desk, on the couch or just doing a few things around the house.

By getting out and doing some exercise, you are working the organs like your heart and lungs and this will increase oxygen and blood flow which in turn, gives you more energy.

#2 Natural Ways To Battle Fatigue: Take A Close Look At Your Sleeping Patterns

This is easily a top reason people feel fatigued all the time. There are various factors such as:

  • too much light in your sleeping area,
  • an uncomfortable mattress and/or pillow,
  • too much noise,
  • and sleeping at inconsistent times or getting too little of sleep.

Some of these factors are not within your control but there are ways you can battle them. If there is too much light entering your sleeping area, you may try dark curtains.

Investing in a high quality mattress and pillow is just plain wise.

Let’s say you live in an apartment in Las Vegas, the city that never sleeps. You are hearing cars and people throughout the night. Earplugs may be the answer to this problem.

And by all means, set a regular sleep schedule where you go to bed and arise at consistent times. We need 7 – 8 hours of sleep every 24 hours.

How do you awaken each day? Is it with stress and rushed?

I suggest you set that alarm 10 to 15 minutes earlier and begin the day with some simple stretching. Stretch your arms, legs, neck, back and shoulders. This gets blood flowing and will relieve any tension and stressed areas.

You WILL notice an improvement in how you feel throughout the day with this simple technique.

#4 Natural Ways To Battle Fatigue: Potato Juice

You may think I am a little loco here, but it works…

Take 1 medium sized potato with the peeling still on. Cut it in chunks and put the chunks in 1 ½ cups of water. Now cut ½ of a lemon in smaller chunks and add to the mixture.

Soak this concoction overnight and after your morning stretch, simply pour the liquid (without the chunks) into a glass. Add 1 tablespoon of honey and mix well.

Now drink it… Drink it all!

The potassium from the potato and the vitamin C from the lemon will give you superpowers.

A high percentage of humans do not drink enough water. They instead reach for soda, coffee or other flavored drinks.

We need water and just because those other drinks have water in them, they don’t count. The sugar and other chemicals take away from the benefits the pure water give to your body.

My suggestion is, carry 2 bottles of water with you and make a choice to drink from them at regular intervals. Throughout the day, try to drink at least 6 of those bottles.

#6 Healthy Lifestyle Choices: Try Some Varieties

There are superfoods in every culture on this Earth.

I challenge you to try some fruits or vegetables you have never tried. Just do a search online on how to prepare or eat them.

  • Plantains
  • Guava
  • Long beans
  • Cherimoya
  • Pummelo
  • Karela
  • Etc…

Don’t know what any of these are? Google it!

We can get so many other nutrients for our bodies just by trying other superfoods.

Before joining a network marketing company, you should research the complete leadership behind the company.

  • Who founded the company and why?
  • Learn about the CEO and other top management. Have they been involved in network marketing prior to this position? Are they trusted? What is their educational and career background?
  • And your sponsor and upline, you should look at their background too. This will help you determine if they will be able to help you when you need it.

The leadership of any network marketing company should be transparent. It should not be difficult to see into their backgrounds.

If you do have problems finding information on the leadership of the company, I suggest you just contact them and ask. If they are not willing to provide you with the information you are seeking, do you think it would be a good network marketing company to affiliate with?

Joining The Correct Network Marketing Company #3: The Company Profile

You should absolutely research the company…

  • How long have they been in business?
  • What does their financial statements look like?
  • Are they publicly listed or privately owned?
  • Have they had any legal issues?

While there is nothing wrong with joining a brand new network marketing company, keep in mind that many fail within their first year of business.

The company financial statements can tell you a lot. Do they have a good supply of assets or are they just “squeaking by?”

While public and private should not be a huge importance, it is good to know. And being listed on the stock exchange does give a company some added respect.

And lastly, legal issues are quite important. Now it is possible they have had in the past but handled the situation properly. That does not make them a bad company. But wariness should come if the company is in the midst of a legal situation. You need to ask yourself, “Do I dare take a risk until I see the outcome?”

You should also look at the Better Business Bureau rating of the company and see if they are a member of the Direct Selling Association.

Before joining a network marketing company, you should know the company inside and out.

Joining The Correct Network Marketing Company #4: Analyze The Products Or Services

This is completely different than #1. Sure, you love the products or services, but now is the time to analyze them on a deeper scale.

Are they safe?

Do you get a good amount for the money you spend?

Does the pricing compete fairly with retail or other network marketing competitors?

What makes this product or service more valuable then the rest?

You want to know if you will have something to stand on when selling the products. If you can show that they are safe for children and animals, that is a strong selling point.

And while we know that pricing is important, equally important is getting a good quantity and high quality. Most people are willing to pay more to get more and better.

But if a person can buy essentially the same product at a retail store for 75% less, what do you think the chances are you will be able to sell?

Joining The Correct Network Marketing Company #5: The Compensation Plan

How will you be paid?

When will you be paid?

The compensation plan is ultra important and believe me, every representative will tell you their company’s compensation plan is the best. And the thing is, for them, it is the best. But would it be the best for you?

There are 4 primary compensation plans in the world of network marketing:

  1. The stair step breakaway
  2. The binary
  3. Matrix
  4. and the Unilevel

Most network marketing companies use one, or a combination of these plans. And the thing is, they all work!

You can make good money with any of these plans as long as the company is using them properly.

So you should look at the comp plan, bonuses, and incentives. All the ways you can make money with the company. In most cases, network marketing companies have developed a PDF of how their particular compensation plan works. Many have also created videos to explain the compensation plan.

I suggest you take a close look at each plan and the pros and cons to see if it would be right for you.

Joining The Correct Network Marketing Company #6: Support And Training

One of the key words in network marketing is duplication. The system should be simplified enough that the newest team member can duplicate what more experienced representatives are doing and have success doing so.

So what the company needs is an easy to understand training system. The elder member should have the ability to show the recruits how to follow the system to both recruit and sell.

Some questions to ask…

  • Is the basic training free (it should be)?
  • Does the company offer advanced training at a reasonable cost?
  • Is there online training?
  • Are upline members willing to help new recruits learn, grow and succeed?
  • Does the company offer conventions and conferences so members can network and learn from each other?

These are just a few of the things you should look at in the area of support and training.

Keep in mind that network marketers have goals of recruiting and some will use hype and the “do it now” approach to get you to sign up and start your own home based business.

Is this wrong?

Not really as long as they are not telling falsehoods. Keep in mind that they are on a mission to recruit. So it is up to you to research these 6 areas before joining their opportunity.
