Every day, we come in contact with multiple sources of toxins. Many of the diseases and conditions humans are attacked with are a direct result of toxins. Just to name a few:
Secondhand cigarette smoke
Dust and pollens
Some people have an assumption that these toxins will leave our bodies naturally. In part, that assumption is true, but only partially so. Remnants of these toxins can store in our fat cells, and these toxins are the cause of such terrible conditions like cancer, Alzheimer’s and many other diseases.
Now, don’t get me wrong; I am not trying to put you in a “fear factor,” and telling you to hide in a bubble. We need to live life, but we should also be proactive in ridding our bodies of these toxins.
As a matter of fact, coming in contact with these toxins can actually force our bodies to build a resistance to the bad effects they can cause. We can help this resistance with how we treat our bodies.
There are many products on the market that claim they offer a safe detoxifying method. While some of these may be safe, I suggest you be diligent about studying what ingredients are used. Using 1 chemical to get rid of another chemical seems like an oxymoron.
Here are some safe detoxifying methods:
There are certain foods that are scientifically known to help detoxify our bodies. Try ingesting more of these foods to help detoxify:
Green, leafy vegetables
These are just a few. Almost all fresh fruits and vegetables do help detoxify, as does fresh fish such as salmon, trout, halibut, etc.
But, the biggest detoxification agent of all is something many people neglect to get enough of…Water! Drinking plenty of water helps to flush your body of the toxins that have attempted to make a home.
I have heard people actually say they wish they didn’t sweat. The first temptation I have is to tell them if they did not sweat, they would die.
Sweating is a primary way the body naturally rids itself of toxins. There are a couple of ways to help the body in this method:
Be it running, walking, biking, lifting weights or any other type of exercise, we are building muscles and getting in shape, and we are also helping to rid the toxins from our bodies. When we exercise, we sweat.
Whenever I sit in a sauna for a short period of time, I feel the toxins just seeping from my body. A great example is how our bodies react when we have the flu. Our temperatures rise so we sweat out the poisons that are generating the flu virus.
No, I am not talking about grilling hamburgers, even though we use charcoal for that too. No, just before exercise or a sauna session, taking a couple of activated charcoal pills can maximize the erasure of toxins from your body. Activated charcoal attaches to the toxins and pulls them free from your body.
If you are going to take a supplement for detoxifying, make sure to take Glutathione. It has been proven to rid the body of heavy metals.
Fasting is a great way to rid the body of toxins. By not ingesting food for a period of time, the body will resort to burning fat cells where the toxins have attached themselves.
Taking Probiotics can be quite helpful in ridding your body of the toxins. These Probiotics actually create “good bacteria” that defeats “bad bacteria.”
Do some cutting
Things such as fried foods, white bread, and flour, donuts and cakes, etc… are actually adding toxins to your body. By cutting out these items, you are not only helping your weight loss goals, you are actually cutting some of the toxins from your body.
Try to say no to antibiotics
Some people have come to the belief that taking antibiotics will cure their ailments. While they may cure an immediate issue, the long-lasting effects can be dangerous. By taking antibiotics, we shut down the body’s natural abilities to rid our body of toxins, viruses and “bad bacteria.”
Try using natural methods instead of antibiotics. It may take a bit longer, but it is safer for you and your long-term health.
These are a few of the safe ways to detoxify. I even suggest picking 1 day per month and making it a “body cleansing day.” Eat and drink only detoxifying foods all day. Do a sauna and sweat it out.
I must also mention that you should try to avoid known contamination. If you see someone smoking while you are walking through the park, cross the road. If you live in an area with heavy vehicle exhaust, buy an air filter, and you may consider wearing a face mask.
